DESCRIPTION:Travel back in time to the days of Fred Astaire and the Glenn Miller Orchestra during an afternoon at Big Band Dance! Listen to the sounds of the great bands from the '40s and '50s, featuring ballroom dancing, waltzing, cha-cha, rumba and more. We have plenty of mixers to make sure everyone gets a chance to dance, and the afternoon is a great time to meet new friends. We have door prizes, and the Park District provides soft drinks, coffee and snacks. A cash bar is also available. No pre-registration is necessary; pay entrance fee at the door.
