Today marks the start of February and also the beginning of American Heart Month (Heart Health Awareness). The Park District of Franklin Park is participating in Wear Red Day to kick off this important month.
With heart disease being the leading cause of death in the United States, we understand the importance of having a healthy heart. We are extremely proud to help promote healthy hearts in our community, as health and wellness is a pillar of parks and recreation.
Throughout the month of February we will be sharing heart health tips, as well as how you can improve your heart health right here at the park district. We encourage you to adopt these heart-healthy behaviors because our hearts improve when we work together!
