Dear Residents, Families & Patrons,

On February 10, 2022, Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) released a statement regarding its current COVID mandates. If key metrics continue to improve this month, CCDPH stated that its vaccination and masking order can be lifted consistent with Governor Pritzker’s plan. The Governor announced yesterday that if the state’s hospitalization metrics continue trending downward that the indoor mask mandate can be lifted by February 28.

CCDPH is monitoring key metrics daily to aid its decision-making process. Not all metrics need to be at target to modify current mitigations, but as we know, circumstances are constantly changing. The Park District of Franklin Park continues to monitor the situation and consult with the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA).

Until CCDPH reaches a decision, we ask that you continue masking indoors at Park District of Franklin Park facilities. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation, understanding and patience, and look forward to providing safe and healthy programs and services for you and your families.

Sincerely,

Joseph D. Modrich

Director of Parks & Recreation
