Dear Residents, Families & Patrons,
On February 22, 2022, Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) released a statement announcing its plan to lift Mitigation Order 2021-11 on February 28. CCDPH will act in alignment with the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago as key COVID-19 metrics continue to improve.
Lifting Mitigation Order 2021-11 includes the following:
- Masks are no longer required in all indoor public places
- Proof of vaccination for patrons over the age of 18 is no longer required
- Proof of vaccination or weekly testing for employees is no longer required
Although masks will not be required in our facilities, we ask you to respect those who continue wearing them. We have all faced many challenges the past two years, but our resiliency to overcome them together captures the essence of our diverse community.
As for the Park District of Franklin Park, our Staff looks forward to turning our attention fully to programs, parks, facilities, events and services for our Resident and Patron Families. We thank you for your continued patience, cooperation and understanding. With spring on the horizon, we hope to see you around the Park District.
Sincerely,
Joseph D. Modrich
Director of Parks & Recreation
