The Park District of Franklin Park is disappointed to announce that the Annual Eddie Biondo Fall Fest Parade will not march this year. This longstanding Franklin Park tradition is an event enjoyed by many, but due to the ongoing pandemic the Park District does not view the parade as a safe operation.
Each year, hundreds of people gather for this event, which would not coincide with CDC social distancing guidelines. Managing the parade participants and spectator viewing under these conditions would not be possible. We need to act in the best interests of our residents and staff.
Park District staff is working diligently to plan future special events in the safest manner possible. Adaptations for Pumpkin Fest and Halloween Hoot are being discussed. Updates on these events will be provided this fall.
As we continue to navigate through this unprecedented time, we thank our residents for their continued support and understanding. Please contact us at (847) 455-2852 regarding questions, comments or concerns.
