We are excited to introduce Liz Strack as the new Program & Aquatics Manager for the Park District of Franklin Park. She oversees all Special Events, Aquatics, and Dance Programs. Liz graduated from Carroll University where she majored in Exercise Science.
Liz grew up in Waukegan where her love for being around the water started. During the summer, she would always swim in her grandparents’ pool or Lake Michigan. It was fitting that she joined the swim team in high school where she competed in state swim meets. Liz was also on her high school’s track and field team where she ran and threw shotput and discus.
Her love for Park Districts started when she taught swim lessons for the Waukegan Park District. From there she became a lifeguard manager for four years during school breaks. That experience helped her become the Facilities & Operation Manager for Carroll University’s RecSports facility.
During her time off work, Liz enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active outdoors and crafting. She loves making homemade cards and other crafts with her Cricut. She also really enjoys painting.
Liz looks forward to meeting more Franklin Park residents and improving their experiences in our programs and events. Her goal is to grow the Aquatics and Dance programs as well as create more events for the community. Feel free to reach out to her for any suggestions, questions, comments, or concerns.
